Rulership from the Mike Miller stable takes his place in Race 7. He won a good race in his last start over this distance on the polytrack.

He lost a length at the start, took a keen hold in the early stages and hung in the straight. However, the manner in which he quickened up and drew clear of the opposition was eye-catching. The son of William Longsword has ability and if jumping on terms, he can follow up.

Trainer Nathan Kotzen saddles Justfortheepenny in Race 8 and he may be the horse to close off the meeting.

He ran a fair race in his last start over this course and distance. He was reported to be not striding out that day. The 6yo gelding takes a drop in class and will be cherry-ripe. S’manga Khumalo takes the ride and he may be able to get the best out of him where it matters most.

Please note the following changes:

  1. Marco van Rensburg will not be riding today.
  2. Race 4 now 1800m and Race 5 over 2000m
