KZN Sire Moves To Cape

Fee on application

The well performed Unbridled’s Song horse Noble Tune has arrived at Millstream Farm from his former base in KZN, and has settled in well just before the start of the 2019 breeding season.

Millstream’s Jan Mantel said of his new charge, “Noble Tune arrived here on 9 August, and he really is a handsome chap who moves beautifully. He has settled in really well, and is living really close to the hub of the farm and is thriving on the action.”

The only son of outstanding US sire Unbridled’s Song ever to stand at stud in South Africa, Noble Tune was a multiple graded stakes winner, who won graded races at both two and three.

Runner up to George Vancouver in the 2012 Gr1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf, Noble Tune won the G3 Pilgrim Stakes at two, and Gr2 American Turf Stakes at three, during a career which saw him earn just shy of $500 000.

Noble Tune is one of 117 stakes winners sired by Unbridled’s Song –whose Gr1 Whitney Stakes winning son Cross Traffic was the Leading First Crop Sire in North America in 2018.

A half-brother to US champion and dual Gr1 winner Honor Code and to highly rated stakes winner Declarationofpeace, the regally bred Noble Tune’s first three dams are stakes winning daughters of top sires Storm Cat, Mr Prospector and Rahy respectively.

His third dam is US champion, and multiple Gr1 winner Serena’s Song (herself a member of North America’s Horse-racing Hall Of Fame), whose 18 victories included a triumph over males in the Gr1 Haskell Invitational Handicap.

Equally prolific at stud, Serena’s Song produced 10 winners including a stunning six individual stakes winners. Her daughter Sophisticat won the Gr1 Coronation Stakes and that mare (a three-parts sister to the dam of Noble Tune) also ranks as granddam of 2019 French group winner Suphala.

This is also the family of recent graded/group winners Zabeel Prince (Gr1 Prix d’Ispahan), Golden Horde (Gr2 Richmond Stakes), and Suphala.

Promising two-year-old Summer Romance is another high-class member of this family.

Noble Tune’s early crops have produced a plethora of winners including Gr1 performer Play Another Tune and the stakes placed White Lightning.

Noble Tune’s stud fee is priced on application, with special incentives available to approved mares.I
