MR Appeal Overruled

Merit Rating Appeal

An Appeal was lodged by Mr Glen Kotzen against the 8 point increase in merit rating on QUEEN’S COMMAND, subsequent to her win at Clairwood Racecourse on 6 August 2011.

On 18 August 2011, an independent panel consisting of Messrs P Davis, M Lips and R Napier was convened, by teleconference, to adjudicate upon this appeal.

The panel unanimously agreed that QUEEN’S COMMAND has improved in her performance and that the Merit Rating of 96 awarded by the Handicappers was correct.
