Dynasty colt tops Day 2

The curtain came down on the 2018 National 2yo Sale at Germiston on Friday after two days of buoyant trading.

An aggregate of R29 175 000, with an average of R91 458 and a median of R50 000, was complimented by a top -price of R1,2 million achieved on the opening day for a beautiful Pathfork filly.

The top priced lot on the second and final day of the sale came from Jan Mantel’s Millstream Farm. Lot 401, a son of top sire Dynasty, sold to Sterling Miller of Pound Bloodstock for R500 000.

The colt, named Monarchy, is out of Mysterious Land by Badger Land. He is a half-brother to Tandragee, Gothic and Lochlorien and from the family of the exported Majestic Mambo.
