This arose in that as the rider of FIFTY CENTS, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to other runners when he shifted out at about the 250m in Race 5 at Kenilworth Racecourse on 17 December 2016.

Jockey Andrews pleaded guilty to the charge. The Board accepted his plea and found him guilty of the charge.

In consideration of a penalty, the Inquiry Board took into account the mitigating circumstances put forward by Jockey Andrews and the degree of the interference caused and suspended him from riding in races for a period of 10 days.

Jockey Andrews waived his Right of Appeal and was given permission to take his suspension from 29 January to 7 February 2017, both dates inclusive.
