New Sales Director for BSA

The Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association and BloodStock South Africa have announced that Tom Callaghan will be joining the organisation in the new position of Sales Director commencing 1st March 2012.

Tom will be reporting directly to CEO Jan Naudé and will have full responsibility for the sales’ activities of BSA.  Tom comes to us with a wealth of marketing experience in the international fast moving consumer goods industry coupled with a passion for horses.

Tom represented South Africa at Polocrosse, studied at Cedara Agricultural College and Rhodes University, has diplomas in Agriculture and Enterprise Management and managed farms before pursuing a corporate career.  He has worked for major global companies in South Africa and the United Kingdom including Coca Cola, Unilever and Dulux.  He returned to South Africa in 2008 to set up his own successful marketing consultancy business. He brings new blood, innovative ideas and entrepreneurial thinking to the organisation.
