NHA Inquiry – Bonus Stakes

The National Horseracing Authority confirms that an Inquiry into a complaint lodged by Adv Brett Maselle against the Racing Association and Phumelela Gaming and Leisure Limited regarding the payment of RA bonus stakes, which he alleges to be a discriminatory practice, commenced on 18 November 2011.

After hearing evidence from Adv Maselle, the Inquiry Board comprising retired Judge P Levinsohn and Mr G I Hoffman SC adjourned the inquiry to a date to be arranged.  This was done to allow the parties to consider the evidence that was led and to lead further evidence in regard to this matter.
