The National Horseracing Authority confirms that at an Inquiry held in Cape Town on 9 October 2015, Assistant Trainer Jonathan Snaith was charged with a contravention of Rule 72.1.15, in that as a licensed person, he submitted an Authority to Act form for registration when such form contained false information.

Mr Snaith pleaded guilty to the charge.

The Inquiry Board found Mr Snaith guilty of the charge and imposed a penalty of a R15,000.00 fine, of which R10,000.00 is wholly suspended for a period of one year, on condition that he is not found guilty of this Rule or any related Rules during that period.

Mr Snaith has the Right of Appeal against the penalty imposed.
