Fairview incident reaches conclusion

At an inquiry held in Port Elizabeth on 23 March 2018, Jockey Marco van Rensburg, in absentia in terms of Rule 79.3, was charged with a contravention of Rule 72.1.25, in that he conducted himself in an improper manner on race course property, after the running of Race 2 on 29 October 2017 at Fairview Racecourse.

Marco van Rensburg – has right of appeal

The Board entered a plea of Not Guilty on Jockey van Rensburg’s behalf.

The Board found Jockey van Rensburg guilty as charged and having considered his record, imposed a penalty of R2 500.

Jockey van Rensburg has the Right of Appeal against the finding and the penalty imposed.
