The evergreen son of Oratorio’s performances this season included a win, over a star studded field, in the Gr2 Longines Jockey Club Cup, and the ultra gutsy 8yo also finished a close second in the Gr1 Audemars Piguet QE II Cup back in April (Military Attack accounting for such top class performers as Blazing Speed, Lovely Day, Nuovo Record, Highland Reel, Ertijaal and Rising Romance on that occasion).

Military Attack has won 13 times and earned over HK$8 000 000 in stakes. His wins include four at Gr1 level –notably the G1 Singapore Airlines International Cup and the 2013 Gr1 Audemars Piguet QE II Cup, where the champ accounted for the likes of Horse Of The Igugu and Irish Derby winner Treasure Beach.

Winners of the Champion Awards will be announced at The Hong Kong Jockey Club Champion Awards 2015/2016 presentation ceremony to be held on Friday, 8 July 2016, at the Grand Ballroom, Grand Hyatt Hong Kong.

Pippa Mickleburgh - buyer's remorse !

Pippa Mickleburgh – excited about Oratorio

An excited Avontuur GM Pippa Mickleburgh was elated at the news that Oratorio’s progeny continued to perform internationally.

She said that breeders may not have realised that there are still a limited number of services available to Oratorio.

“They will have to move quickly but I can accommodate a few more mares and if anybody wants to breed a hardy classical horse that can go on and win the Met and the July, then why look further than the big O?” she laughed.

Phone Pippa now to lay the foundation of your dream.

Military Attack’s popular sire Oratorio is strongly represented at this week’s Sibaya KZN Yearling Sale.

The champion son of Danehill, whose first South African yearlings have fetched up to R3.2 million this season, has no less than five high quality lots on offer at the Durban sale:
