Paisley Park Looks On Song Today

Note early start at 11h45

Nine races are carded at the Vaal this afternoon. The first is due off at 11h45 with the lucky last scheduled for 16h20.

Paisley Park from the Sean Tarry stable takes his place in Race 6 and he looks to be the best bet on the programme.

He was in need of his comeback run over 1100m on this course.

The manner in which he stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. He is unbeaten from two starts over this distance and will strip a much fitter horse today. The son of Gimmethegreenlight has plenty of class about him and can return to winning ways.

Hollywoodbets-sponsored trainer Candice Dawson saddles Warship in Race 8 and she represents decent each way value.

She has taken on much stronger company in her last two starts. She has finished second twice and third once from four starts over this distance.

The daughter of Coup De Grace continues to drop in the ratings. She faces a lot weaker company this afternoon and can notch her second career victory.
