Paul Peter Hits The Jackpot

Pays R265 to R1

On a day of favourites at Turffontein on Thursday, trainer Paul Peter enjoyed the rare distinction of saddling the jackpot, which paid a tote dividend of R265.

Paul Peter – great day

Peter’s glorious winning run started with Hungry Heart (9-2) in the fifth, and was followed by Seven Lives (8-10), Rebel’s Champ (7-2), with the Australian-bred Hideaway (4-1) rounding off the feat.

The better-than-ever Piere Strydom rode three of the four winners, with apprentice Lyle Hewitson guiding the gallant topweight Rebel’s Champ to victory.

Paul Peter will saddle his first Vodacom Durban July runner this year.
