The Racing Association confirm that they have received notification from the National Horseracing Authority that a limited number of owners and their guests, as well as private box holders, will be able to attend race meetings following President Ramaphosa’s address last Sunday evening.
Such attendance will remain subject to the following conditions:
- A maximum of 50 persons allowed indoors
- A maximum of 100 persons allowed outdoors
- 50% of the capacity of smaller venues allowed indoors
- All owners / private box holders wishing to gain access to the racecourse are required to register in advance by calling the relevant number or emailing as outlined below – information to be supplied includes the names of your guests / passengers.
- Private box holders will be required to sign an indemnity form upon arrival.
- Access to the racecourses will be via the gates stipulated below.
- Parking will be available as stipulated below.
- Owners / guests may access the parade ring, however children under 12 years of age are precluded.
- As per government regulations, all entrants to the racecourse will be temperature checked, hand sanitized and issued with accreditation wrist band prior to entry. Any person not wearing a face mask will NOT be allowed entry. Face masks must be worn at all times, except when eating and drinking. Social distancing to be strictly observed at all times.
- Any person with an underlying health condition (a comorbidity linked to the COVID-19 virus) is discouraged from attending.
