On 20 August Phumelela announced the appointment of Clyde Basel as the new  Racing Executive for Phumelela following the resignation of Patrick Davis,  and that Basel would retain Hospitality and Events in addition to his new responsibilities.

It was also announced that Chief Operating Officer, Andreas Heide was  appointed with the task of overseeing Public Relations.

The above appointments necessitated the review and the reallocation of  other Executive responsibilities, and Phumelela is pleased to announce that  Rob Scott has been allocated Sales and Marketing (previously under Basel)  in addition to his current responsibilities as CEO for Tellytrack.

John Stuart, Executive Director for International Operations and  Tellytrack, has now been allocated the additional portfolio of Publishing  to free up Vee Moodley to focus on leading Tote and Fixed Odds Betting for  the Group.

Phumelela CEO, Rian du Plessis said: “I thank all these Executives for  accepting the new/additional responsibilities and wish them well with their new challenges.
