Please Help The People Who Help The Horses

Racing News talks to the team

Rural horses owners in KZN refer to Coastal Horse Care Unit field worker and trainer Moosa Dotshe , as ‘Moosa Amahhashi’ or ‘Moosa of the Horses’, and veterinarian Dr Shannon Thompson as a ‘worker of miracles’.

Their knowledge and care for rural horses has earned the deep respect and gratitude from communities in the province.

Racing News recently caught up with them and their team, when in Ugu in southern KZN.

The team broke down on their return from Ugu, being stranded on the R56 near Ixopo until midnight.

The Coastal Horse Care Unit is appealing for help to enable the Rural Outreach Team to continue their work and raise funds for a more reliable vehicle. Donations can be made to CHCU, with #vehicle as a reference.
