The Racing Association’s National Board election results will be announced at the owner body’s AGM at Turffontein on 11 December.
The Sporting Post was approached by interested parties on the news that the counting of votes may have been completed by auditors BRF & Co last week.
We contacted the firm as well as the Racing Association for comment.
Various questions, except any direct reference to the final outcome, were put by ourselves in writing to Brett Kaye of BRF.
“I have no comment to make regarding this matter – please direct your queries to the RA,” was the response.

RA CEO Larry Wainstein confirmed that, as had been the case in the past, the results would be announced at the forthcoming AGM.
“This has always been the process and that is the way it will be handled again. There is no reason to deviate from the way it has always been done,” said Mr Wainstein.
On suggestions that, in view of the interim period, the results could be conveyed to others close to the RA, he confirmed that he would never compromise himself or the organisation by disclosing the information to anybody.
“What would anybody have to gain out of that? The outcome will be announced on 11 December, which is a raceday. I look forward to a good turnout and hope that we will all be working together for the better good of horseracing in the year ahead,” he added.
