Jack Dan wins the Kimberley 1400

The Racing Association Northern Cape Awards were held in Kimberley on Friday evening on the commencement of the Flamingo Park Festival.

The individual category winners included Trainer Jaap Visser,who has had a terrific season, and jockey Muzi Yeni who got married today.

The 7yo Joshua Dancer gelding Jack Dan, who was bred by The Alchemy, and won six races in the past season, was crowned Horse of the season.

Champion Trainer: J Visser

Çhampion Owner: W G C Miller

Champion Jockey: Muzi Yeni

Horse of the season: Jack Dan, owned by J J du Preez and trained by Johan Myburgh.
