SA Flag Flies In Hong Kong

Special attention to export situation

Felix Coetzee, Robert Chung, Tony Millard and Jo Moreira before the race

Monsieur Mogok, a 4yr old bay gelding by Mogok ex Miss Madam by Dolpour, owned by Robert Chung and bred by Scott Bros has just finished runner up in a Class 3 handicap at Sha Tin over 1800m.

He finished very strongly from stone last under a brilliant ride by Joao Moreira who chose a rails run but found traffic, flashing up late to finish 1.5 lengths behind a potential Derby candidate in Got Fly.

Have a look at him before the race:

Clearly looking as if he will stay further, from a better draw and decent pace, he looks sure to progress through the divisions.

Monsieur Mogok was a ZAR 30 000 purchase from Bloodstock South Africa’s 2012 National Two Year Old Sale by Tony Zackey and subsequently transferred to the stable of Tony Millard in HK.

Robert Chung has been a longstanding supporter of South Africa enjoying great success with horses like Tiger Prawn , Sweet Sannette and Arabian Wager.

His 2013 Bloodstock SA Ready To Run graduate, Mint Master (Jet Master), is set to start the long journey to Hong Kong in February next year.

This follows the very successful Racing South Africa annual promotion last Friday at the Foreign Correspondents Club where Hong Kong legend Felix Coetzee was Guest of Honour.

With special attention being given to the export situation in Hong Kong this weekend, Bloodstock South Africa reports that they are looking forward to a bouyant 2015 Sales season.
