Richard Fourie – 201 And Soaring!

Delpech 334 record is looking tempting!

High-riding Winning Form sponsored jockey Richard Fourie rode a treble and reached his 2023/24 season double century at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Wednesday.

Fourie is riding with supreme confidence and booted home the big chestnut gelding Parmenion in the fourth for trainer Garth Puller to bring up his 200th visit to the winner’s box, in what looks set to be a record season.

Three races later he made it 201 when Sundance Kid won for Wendy Whitehead and the Arundels, who are enjoying a nice run.

In the chase to beat the long-standing Anthony Delpech magic marker of 334, Fourie is now just 57 winners off his career best of 258 winners in a term.

The R1 million offered by Hollywoodbets for the first rider this season to beat the Delpech record looks within reach for the 38 year old.
