Roha can start his day on a high

Winning Form-sponsored SA Champion Jockey Warren Kennedy provides a comment on all his WSB Summer Cup Day rides for Saturday.

A reminder that the first is off at 12h05 and a R20 million Pick 6 pool is projected.

  • Race 1: ROHA (10)

ROHA ran a very good race first time out and was beaten by a horse that they think quite a bit of. She should be in the shakeup.

  • Race 2: GODSWOOD (5)

GODSWOOD was very disappointing last time and has been gelded in the interim. Back down to the sprints, I’m expecting a good run from him.

  • Race 3: GRACE FROM ABOVE (2)

GRACE FROM ABOVE is improving, at best I feel he can run into the places.

  • Race 4: SPRINGS OF CARMEL (12)

SPRINGS OF CARMEL needs to recapture her best form if she is to feature here. At best I think she can run a place.

  • Race 5: BOLD RANSOM (13)

BOLD RANSOM won a good race last time out. Has to come on a little bit to feature here. Place chance.

  • Race 6: MK’S PRIDE (2)

MK’S PRIDE is improving all the time and has done nothing wrong. Obviously, MOUNT PLEASANT is the horse to beat in this race. MK’S PRIDE is an improving horse and should feature here.

  • Race 7: SUMMER PUDDING (3)

The big one, SUMMER PUDDING! I feel like she’s the best horse in the race. Weight and draw is a slight concern but hoping for a smooth, clean run. Without any hiccoughs, she should be the horse to beat.

  • Race 8: SENTBYDESTINY (8)

Picked up the ride on SENTBYDESTINY who won a great race in her last start, beating the boys. She hasn’t been seen since, so if not in need of the run she should feature here as well – top 3.

  • Race 9: BRAND NEW CADILLAC (12)

BRAND NEW CADILLAC stays well and isn’t carrying much weight. He’s up against it here, though. There are some proper hard-knocking stayers here and he could find it difficult.
