Bruised lung - but he will be okay

Sean Cormack – injured after fall

Jockey Sean Cormack, who was injured at Greyville on Saturday, when his mount in the fourth race, the Brett Crawford-trained Zacharias, collapsed after a heart attack, has posted a poignant message on Facebook.

“I want to thank everyone for the support and care, the messages haven’t stopped and it’s very heart warming. The help I had at the course from friends and medical staff was overwhelming. I have a bruised lung and I’m in hospital overnight for observation. I got hurt and lost out on a Group 1 winner, Captain Of All, who has been a special horse to me, and yet the thoughts and heartfelt messages should go to Zacharias , who had a heart attack with me today. So sorry, my girl. RIP.”

We wish Sean a speedy recovery and extend our sympathies to the connections of Zacharias.
