Justin Snaith’s Thefutureisbright has had his merit rating increased from 95 to 99 following his success in the Listed Hollywoodbets Durbanville Cup run over 2400m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville on Tuesday 7 March 2023.
The Handicappers took the view that fourth-placed SILVER HOST and 5th placed HAN SOLO made for suitable line horses.

In rating the race this way 7th placed SENSO UNICO also runs to his rating making him a line horse as well.
Accordingly, their ratings remain unchanged on 113, 104 and 111 respectively.
The specific conditions of this race do not allow for placed runners to go up in the ratings and as such, runner up MASTER REDOUTE remains unchanged on a mark of 99 despite achieving a race merit rating of 101.
The following horses received a rating’s drop, REX UNION is down to 97 from 99, SUPER SILVANO drops to 103 from 106 and lastly CHEWBACA was trimmed to 91 from 92.
