It’s Official – No Met Protest

Dialogue wins the day

The National Horseracing Authority of SA has confirmed that after extensive discussions with COSATU and the PSA there will be no protest at the Sun Met on Saturday.

NHA CEO Lyndon Barends – found a solution

Parties have committed themselves to continuously work together to find a lasting solution and to deal with any outstanding issues that may arise in the future through dialogue and co-operation.

The NHA would like to thank all parties who contributed to finding a solution to this situation.

Furthermore, in line with the values defined in the South African Constitution, the NHA also confirms its empathy with the plight of those affected by the current developments and the economic climate.
