Trainer St John Gray sends out Take Your Place in Race 3. She caught the eye when second on debut over this course and distance.

She showed good pace but was caught in the shadow of the post by Across The Pond.

The daughter of Bezrin would have gained from the experience. Jockey Jason Gates takes this ride and with the natural improvement that is expected, she can go one better.

Just Be Nice from the Candice Dawson stable takes her place in Race 8.

She ran a creditable race in her last start over 1450m on the Turffontein Inside course.

She jumped outwards leaving the start, but the way she stayed on at the finish was encouraging.

She will strip a much fitter horse this afternoon and will be mowing down the frontrunners.

Unraced in today’s Pick 6 – Race: 4 – #9 Brilliant Color

Race: 1 – #10 Delphi Dancer  had a 219 day break due to a change of stable yards.
