Tellytrack CEO – ‘Feedback Valued’

Reaction to Bumpy and some streaming issues

Tellytrack are listening to viewers and appreciate and value any constructive feedback.

That was the message from CEO Rob Scott on Sunday after Sporting Post readers launched into the racing channel after an announcement that Eastern Cape commentaries were being done from their Rivonia Studios.

The Sporting Post broke the news on Friday.

?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Scott, whom we have to admit is always willing to take a call and speak openly, also took some flak for streaming issues encountered on Saturday – as well as a personal dig at his personal dress code, while he was handing out trophies at Turffontein on Classic Day.

Regular poster Extravagantlyhorseracing wrote:

I suppose it’s unreasonable to expect the international streaming to be working whilst Rob Scott hands out trophies, bow tie and all.

Scott explained that he was a Director of the Racing Association and as such, was obliged to perform duties allied thereto.

“I acknowledge that we had streaming issues on Saturday and these were mostly related to browser upgrades on the part of individual recipients. But we are improving our communication immediately with the introduction of space on our website to provide advice and information to viewers. By Wednesday we will also be talking via bulk sms to our viewers to facilitate better service delivery.”

He went on to say that Bumpie Schoeman’s services were being retained as on-course commentator and any action to improve or facilitate better delivery to the wider customer base should not be interpreted as a vindictive act against anybody or a mercenary shot in the face of loyalty from a long-serving contractor.

He also added that viewers may want to consider that Alistair Cohen had been instructed to do a job of work and that criticising him was possibly a misdirection.

“Whether I choose to agree with them or not, I do read all the comments regularly and take remedial action where we see that improvements can be made,” he said.
