The Sky’s The Limit

The first race at Vaal is off at 12h40

Racing takes place on the Vaal Classic course this afternoon and eight races are carded.

The first is due off at 12h40 with the lucky last set for 16h45.

Gavin Lerena - Gold Circle

Platinum Sky from the Sean Tarry stable takes his place in Race 2 and he is the best bet on the programme. He fought hard in his last start over 1950m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville, but found one too good in the form of News Stream.

He gets the blinkers fitted for the first time which should keep his mind on the task at hand. He runs well for Gavin Lerena and can return to winning ways.

Hollywoodbets-sponsored trainer Billy Buiters takes his place in Race 3. He showed some improvement in his last start over this distance on the Turffontein Inside course. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since.

The tongue-tie seems to have helped the son of Crusade and it is encouraging that Muzi Yeni keeps faith in the ride. From his good draw of two, he may be the one to side with.
