Trainer Mike de Kock sends out Greaterix in the Betway Gr2 Dingaans and he looks to be the best bet on the card.

He has been super-impressive in his last two victories after returning from a 32-week break.

He set the pace over this course and distance last time, found another kick and won with a ton in hand.

The son of Vercingetorix is drawn in pole position which is a big plus. Winning Form-sponsored Jockey Kabelo Matsunyane retains the ride and he should be hard to peg back.

Royal Victory from the Nathan Kotzen stable will be looking to defend his title in the Betway Gr1 Summer Cup. He produced an encouraging seasonal debut over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Greyville.

He finished 1.2 lengths behind See It Again that day. He is 4.5kgs better off at the weights today which is enough for the tables to be turned.

The wide draw should not pose an issue as Gavin Lerena has the back straight to get into a good position. The son of Pathfork will be running on strongly at the business end.

Gerbera from the Sean Tarry stable takes her place in Race 2. She produced a promising debut effort over 1200m at the Vaal.

She should have finished closer that day and got going late.

It must be noted that Cars Big As Bars has come out and won again since. The daughter of One World found betting support that day which suggests that she was showing good work at home.

Craig Zackey retains the ride and with a bit of luck from an inside barrier, she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.
