An informative and fascinating two day Thoroughbred and Equestrian Seminar is being hosted by the Cape Breeders Club on 27 and 28 January 2014 in Somerset West.

Described by top Cape Breeder Pippa Mickleburgh as an invaluable and essential information and refresher course for anybody involved at any level in the industry, the two day seminar has sparked enquiries and interest nationally, and a capacity subscription is anticipated.

The first day starts at 9.00am and includes Veterinary Aspects of Foaling, Specialist Horse Behaviour Management, The Science of Pedigree Nicks and a Practical Approach to Breeding. The day will conclude with a talk from Dr Emmeline Hill, co-founder and Chairman of Equinome.

A Braai will follow on the Monday afternoon at Avontuur Esate after the day’s proceedings, giving an opportunity for delegates to meet informally with the speakers and sponsors.

The second and final day includes an International Perspective on the Global Thoroughbred Market, a look at Social Media in Business Today and How to improve your online presence, Surgery within Young Foals and thereafter a Question and Answer session with the leading players in the Thoroughbred Industry.

Tea/Coffee, Lunch and refreshments will be provided on both conference days.

Cost is R650 for both days or R400 per day for Monday or Tuesday individually.

The braai cost is R150 and booking is essential as numbers are limited.
