Found guilty, after pleading not guilty

National Horseracing AuthorityThe National Horseracing Authority has confirmed that at an Inquiry held at its offices at Turffontein Racecourse on Wednesday 11 January 2015, Trainer Paul Peter was charged with a contravention of Rule 10.5.14.

This was as a result of the treatment records pertaining to the prohibited substances administered to the horses LONDON and HENRY HIGGINS on 26 November 2014, not being available for inspection by The National Horseracing Authority’s licensed officials on 28 November 2014.

Trainer Peter pleaded not guilty to the charge, but was found guilty of the charge.

After considering all the facts relevant to this matter, the Board imposed a penalty of a fine of R2 500,00.
