Trippi Leads The Way

South Africa’s Leading Sire by stakes for the season

Drakenstein Stud’s resident sire Trippi has enjoyed a marvellous run of success during 2015-2016 and is currently South Africa’s Leading Sire by stakes for the season.

Trippi

Trippi (End Sweep – Jealous Appeal)

The son of End Sweep sports a number of impressive statistics –his offspring have earned over $50 000 000 in prize money.

This means Trippi sired runners have earned more than such world class sires as Curlin, Mineshaft, Pioneerof The Nile, Street Sense and the red hot War Front.

His 64 stakes winners include Gr1 performers the world over, including the Breeders’ Cup placed performers R Heat Lightning and Miss Macy Sue.

Liam's Map

The latter proved Trippi with more glory, when she produced the brilliant Liam’s Map, winner of the 2015 Gr1 Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile by two and a half lengths. Now standing at Lane’s End Farm in Kentucky, Liam’s Map won six of just eight outings, with his other notable victories including the Gr1 Woodward Stakes by nearly five lengths.
