The Turffontein Pick 6 starts in the 4th race at 13h50

Ten races are scheduled for Turffontein Racecourse this afternoon.

There are six feature races and the main event is the Gr2 Allied Steelrode – Onamissionmile.

The estimated Pick 6 pool for this meeting is projected at R5 million.

The first is due off at 12h10.

The in-form stable of Paul Peter saddle Big Burn in the Gr3 HSH Princess Charlene Starling Stakes.

She has won her last three starts well. She set the pace over 1450m in the Joburg Spring F & M Challenge last time and found extra to keep all challengers at bay.

The daughter of Elusive Fort is unbeaten from two starts on this course. She is likely to have her own way in front once again and should notch up her fifth career victory.

Imperial Ruby from the Corne Spies yard represents decent each way value in the Listed Java Stakes.

He produced a typical second run after a rest last time. His penultimate effort when winning over 1800m on the Inside course catches the eye. The son of Silvano stays all day and should be at peak fitness for this contest. He will be mowing down the frontrunners in the run down to the line.
