An issue with the sectional timing devices experienced at the Vaal on Tuesday apparently only impacted on three races.
The Sporting Post was approached for clarity by readers after it was reported that during the saddling process of the first race, it was established that the screws on the sectional timing devices were protruding significantly on a number of the devices.
It was decided, by the Stipendiary Board, to remove these devices until such time as the screws could be modified to be flush to the surface.
This was rectified after the third race according to a Phumelela spokesperson,
