Snaith Racing have confirmed that crack lightweight Richard Fourie will take up the ride on Investec Cape Derby winner, It’s My Turn, in the 2016 Gr1 Vodacom Durban July.

Piere Strydom was originally booked to ride the son of Dynasty but couldn’t get down to the weight of 53kgs for the big day.

It’s My Turn ran a cracking second to Rabada in a slow run Daily News 2000 last Saturday.

It was a magnificent prep by a horse who would not have enjoyed the modest gallop.

Trainer Justin Snaith said that he was very excited to have Richard Fourie in the saddle for the big race.

Fourie was aboard Snaith’s sensational 2014 Vodacom Durban July winner Legislate, who is due to take up stallion duties at Drakenstein Stud shortly.
