KZN-based jockey Warren Kennedy and trainer Paul Peter teamed up at the Vaal on Thursday with a sizzling six timer.
After one of the most memorable days of his career, Kennedy flew into King Shaka International Airport on Thursday evening and was snapped by the Hollywoodbets Vodacom Durban July welcoming party – see pic below.
Tabnews reports that the streak started as expected in Race 2 when hot favourite Battle Of Alesia (3-4) scored a workmanlike win.
Copenhagen (47-20)) also topped bookmakers boards and obliged for favourite backers in Race 3.
Destiny’s Game (7-1) caused a minor surprise when successful in Race 5, and Diamond Dancer (18-1) a major one as he scored comfortably in Race 7.
Topweight and favourite Florida Keys (21-20) made it a fabulous five timer when she bolted up against the colts in Race 8.
And the dream day was concluded when Ocean City (9-2) virtually made all in Race 9.
Kennedy, who became a father recently, is already enjoying the season of his life, and now sits on 126 winners for the season.
He partners Eyes Wide Open in the Vodacom July on Saturday, and will be brimming with confidence.
