NHRA Notice To Trainers – Racing On Sunday

What is the big deal

That said, if there are significant scratchings due to the unavailability of jockeys, the meeting may still be abandoned.

Remember in days gone by rushing to the squawk box to listen to a sixteen horse race being run in the Transvaal whilst standing on a Natal race course
And having just bet on a twenty horse race in Natal.

Has the jockey pool

Oriental Charm was MR 113 at noms for July. Jumped at MR 121 on day of July. Winsxhester was MR 99 at noms and jumped ar MR 112 on day of July. Racing is prediction..seeing the future of a horse before it actually gets to the max of its rating. Else you can just bet the favourite every time...and that will not make profit. You needed to bet on the 2 above when they were below their top MR rating. I actually did, and that is the

What logic are you referring too - racing is built around the rating of horses and how they weighted / handicapped - if you don't understand this or are not able to analyse - you wasting your time

Tarry Makes It Three Feature Victories

The racing ed. SIR,
The ""NON-MARKETING""... and the ""NON-CHALANT"" attitude shown by that ""LAISSEZ FAIRE"" group of people entrusted with the overburdened and overtaxed S.A. punter"s BLOOD, SWEAT & TEARS HARD-EARNED-MONEY is SOME of what has brought this once flourishing, loved business to the sorry state it is in.

At fault are the ADMINISTRATORS, PRESENTERS, RACE CALLERS and the horde of FALSE CELEBRITIES roped in to ""bolster"" the game.

1) Once the endless nagging, begging for one and all to punt the exotics, that is that...!!!
2) Once the pools are closed nary a one of the above will tell you what the WILL PAYS are...!!! Not the presenter, the race caller or the""interviewee""...!!!
3) The producers in the studios (mobile or fixed) do not bother to ""effect"" the scrolling of ERRATIC showing of the WILL PAYS on TV"s. Either skip them altogether or not bother at all.
4) Once the day"s racing is over...the race callers call it a day by saying...""that brings to a close blah blah blah... we race again on blah blah blah. GODNIGHT.!!!"".
5) NOT A PEEP to the lucky ones to have caught the ""ABNORMAL"" jackpots, p/a"s or
p/6 es of R--1m...or half a Rm or even a 1/4 Rm...!!!
NO.!!! ...
THEY GOT YOUR MONEY, TOOK IT AND BUGGER YOU CHARLIE.!!!

No wonder I sadly left the game after ACTIVELY partaking of it for 65 long hard years...

I compare Garrix and Montien not being the noms to Rory Mcilroy not entering the Masters. These 2 would be 2 of the leading contenders does nor matter how anybody tried to argue it. If they were nominated the betting on both would have been short. But why not even have them in the noms when there are horses with 0% chance of making the final field being nominated. This is crazy !!! Not good for
