Hollywoodbets Durban July – Class Of ’24 Takes Shape

Hey Johnny
Hope you are well there's no doubt he will run
The doubts for me aren't will he stay but can he give Hluhluwe 4 to 5kgs I'm doubtful. His destruction of Thunderstruck over 1400 says he is world class so for me the Hong Kong mile would be best
The July is a Handicap and it's been the end of a career for many a top three year old being over faced
Break a

Front running tactics might be thing of a past for md judging from the last run, however he'll have to carry Maximum weight of a 3 year old like sia last year which is not ideal especially going over

SA Champions Season Launches With Three Features

Frankie Zackey...Old McDonald to raid 3 times in a space of 2 months wouldn't be ideal for any racehorse competing at the highest level,, that's just my humble opinion... If the Champ Main Defender is to have his last crack in KZN for the season,,it should be in the HKJC Champions Cup G1 on Gold Cup

As far as I know Paul Whitmore went to Australia. He rode there for a number of years and retired from racing after a bad fall.
If anybody knows any more recent news,I would like to hear from you.I met Paul in the late 1970's when he was stable jockey to Johan van Eck.
Good old

so last year's first two were seperated by 2 kg's and this year it's 3kg's ,,, so what is the possible difference for this year apart from weight the weight to consider ???

  • weight
  • winner was exceptionally well placed and paced
  • runner up got caught boxed when pace slowed down between Khumalo & Yeni
  • runner up went for the line at the top of the home straight
  • runner up a year older
  • winner a year older

This year has so many top contenders for the final field that the traditional safe line of usual safe suspects need to truly need earn their place Afresh and this includes the likes of
Cousin Casy, Without a Question, Aragosta, Nebraas, Safe Passage, Son of Raj, Shoemaker, Saartjie, Second Base,,, which are merit rated fillers for mediocracy by dull veto,,, this event begs TRUE exitement @ real
