Saturday was a massive day in the competition with a total of 141 points up grabs in the many feature races which was headed by the running of Africa’s Greatest Horseracing Event the Gr1 Vodacom Durban July.

Power King (Silvano)scored 25 points plus 5 bonus for paying R21.20 on the TOTE.

Same Jurisdiction (Mambo In Seattle) won the Gr1 Jonsson Workwear Garden Province Stakes earning 20 points.

The Gr2 SABC Gold Vase was won by Heart Of A Lion (Seul Amour) scoring 14 points and in the Gr3 tabGOLD 2200 it was Ultimate Dollar (Jet Master) that found the winners enclosure, scoring 9 points.

Whilst its valuable points in the bag for the top 10, the competition is definitely not done and dusted as there is 44 points that can be scored in the Gr.1 Mercury Sprint on Saturday, 18 July leading into the last bonus race of the competition, the Gr.1 eLan Property Group Gold Cup which also features the Gr.1 Champions Cup and the Gr.2 Gold Bracelet on “Super Saturday”, 25 July and judging by the selection of horses that the TOP 50 have in the competition, the 2015 competition is in for a nail biting finish.
