Klawervlei – Quality The Key

Perennial producers of top level quality racehorses, multiple champion nursery Klawervlei Stud have five lots on the CTS Ready To Run Sale next weekend.

First under the Klawervlei banner will be Piroshka (# 13).

The Quasillo colt is out of the Kitalpha mare Mamalushka. He is a half-brother to three winners, including last season’s Gr1 Garden Province Stakes winner Zarina. With his good looks and excellent pedigree, he’ll be one to follow.

Next up is an unnamed William Longsword filly (#15). Out of a Gr3 placed daughter of champion US sire/broodmare sire Distorted Humor, she is from the same family as international Gr1 winning fillies Estimate, Ebadiyla, and Taghrooda. The latter is dam of the very promising Israr.

Another William Longsword filly for the Klawervlei draft steps up as lot 45.

Out of a Gr1 winning daughter of multiple champion sire Western Winter in Roxanne, this filly is a half-sibling to the Gr2 placed Putontheredlight. She is also a three-quarter sister to the stakes-placed Outlandos D’amour.

Rounding up the Ready To Run Klawervlei quartet is lot 61. The Trippi filly out of Fort Wood mare Wood Manor and is bred on the same cross as Gr1 SA Fillies Sprint winner Real Princess. This powerhouse is a half-sister to five winners, including Spook Express Handicap winner Forest Express.

Lot 128 is a Captain Al mare out of Calamint. She hails from the same family as champion sprinter Rebel King and fellow Gr1 winners Lyrical Linda and Liege, and the promising young sire Lance.

Klawervlei-bred 3yo’s in the entries for the R900 000 CTS De Grendel Ready To Run Stakes include Fearless Trip, Star Master, Full House, and one of the front runners in Quantum King.
