Winterbach’s Power Of One!

Sunday 31 October at Kenilworth Racecourse

Winterbach Stud heads to the CTS Ready To Run Sale at the end of this month with just one colt in their draft.

An impressive son of William Longsword, Volcanic Sword  is out of the four-time winning Kilauea. By renowned broodmare sire Trippi, the Gr2 and Gr3 placed mare has thrown a powerful first foal.

“Kilauea won over 1200 – 1600m and if her progeny are anything like Mom, we can expect this fellow to be the perfect candidate for the CTS Ready To Run Stakes next year!” enthused Hendrik Winterbach Jnr.

An impressive specimen, the top breeder says the colt is a sound horse with a lot of potential

“He is really not the type of horse you want to miss out on,” he suggests.

While Winterbach Stud won’t have any of their 2020 draft in the CTS Ready To Run Stakes line-up at Kenilworth on 30 October, they do have a Winterbach born-and-raised gelding to cheer across the finish line.

Currently ranked at eleventh place on the race log with a merit rating of 85, Amell is Winterbach Stud’s flagbearer for the R900 000 contest to be run over the Kenilworth 1400m.

The entire Winterbach team will be cheering him on!

The R2R Gallops will precede the R900 000 race on Friday, 29 October, followed by the 2021 CTS Ready To Run and Unbroken-Two-Year-Old Sale on Sunday, 31 October.
