The weekend racing programme kicks off with a nine-race programme at Fairview Racecourse today
The meeting has been switched from the turf to the polytrack.
The first race starts at 12h50.

In the Pick 6 opener, Bobby Bean writes that Meryl has very good consistent form lines to her credit and is the best bet on today’s card.
She ran on from last in the PE Gold Cup last time, only to be beaten a head by stable companion Africa’s Gold.
She is 4kgs better off at the weights and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.
She is having her peak run today and with Greg Cheyne in the saddle, she should be the one to beat.
