A Royal Day Dawns

First off at 12h00

Today’s ten race Turffontein standside track meeting is headed by the HSH Princess Charlene Empress Club Stakes.

The first is off at 12h00 and the Bipot commences in the second race at 12h30.

Princess Charlene will be there

HSH Charlene, Princess of Monaco, will once again ensure that Gugulesizwe Primary School and Lesabe Primary School in Benoni will be the main beneficiaries, receiving a donation of R50,000 each.

A number of learners from these two schools will be hosted at Turffontein on the Royal Race Day where they will play a significant role in welcoming Princess Charlene on her arrival.

Learners from Park Senior Primary School, Turffontein Primary, Die Mossie Primary School, Highveld Primary and Rosettenville Primary in the Turffontein-area will also be hosted on the day – where the focus will be on family entertainment – and great racing

But on to the racing.

The false rail is set at 4m on the back straight to 8m on the bend, with an 8m spur at the 700m mark

The going is good to soft.

Jckey Collen Storey is not riding.
