Strydom At Fairview Today

The Bipot starts in the first race at 12h30

Fairview Racecourse plays host to an eight-race programme on the polytrack.

The jockey that may be worth following this afternoon is Luyolo Mxothwa. He has a full book of rides today, with a few good chances of winning.

The first race is due off at 12h30.

Jimmy The Rich writes that Twice To Heaven from the Sharon Kotzen stable takes her place in Race 5. She has good consistent form lines to her credit.

She took on males in the Racing Association Plate, but found one too good in the form of Norton Sound. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked.

The daughter of Twice Over has won once and finished third once from as many starts on this course. She takes a drop back in class and with a bit of luck from the widest draw, she should be the one to beat.

Trainer Zietsman Oosthuizen saddles Capernaum in Race 6. He ran a good race when finishing third over 2000m on this course last time.

He set the pace and stayed on nicely at the finish.

The son of Querari drops in class and should be cherry-ripe. If seeing out the 2200m, he should notch up his third career victory.

Capernaum will run with alumites on the front, and remain unshod behind.

Robert Khathi will not be riding today as he is medically indisposed.

The false rail is set at 3m out at the 421m mark.
