Justin Snaith has nominated two horses – Crown Towers, winner of the Listed Michaelmas Handicap over 1900m at Greyville on Sunday, and Stopalltheclocks. Brett Crawford has entered Hudoo Magic, who went down 0.50 lengths in a Pinnacle Stakes at Greyville on Sunday.

All three runners from the Cape Town-based trainers are currently stabled in KwaZulu-Natal.

Mike de Kock only has one runner entered, Charles, who had his first run on the Highveld when finishing a 4.75-length fifth behind Astrix in a Pinnacle Stakes over 1600m on the Inside track at Turffontein.

It was his first run since February.

Astrix has also been entered from the Paul Peter yard along with Riverstown.

Also run at this meeting are the Graham Beck Stakes for three-year-olds, the HSH Princess Charlene Starling Stakes for three-year-old fillies – both over 1400m – and the Yellowwood Handicap over 1800m for fillies and mares.

One of the highlights at the meeting is the Non-Black Type R900,000 Emperors Palace Ready To Run Cup (Presented by Bloodstock South Africa) over 1400m.

There are two Listed races – the Golden Loom Handicap over 1000m and the Java Handicap over 2400m.

Supplementary entries close at 11:00 on Friday 23 October. Declarations must be in by 11:00 on Tuesday 27 October.
