Kenilworth – Looks Competitive Today

The Pick 6 starts in the third at 14h15

A competitive card kicks off in the Mother City at Kenilworth today.

The first race on the card starts at 13h05 and the lucky last will close off proceedings at 17h20.

The Glen Kotzen stable send out Magical Midlands who competes in Race 3.

This son of Twice Over made vast improvement on his poor feature race debut performance.

He found a decent positon on the rail last time out and challenged all the way to the finish. It must be noted that the winner of that race (Fort Agopian) won again next time with ease. He jumps from a midfield draw and should take a power of beating in this contest.

Bobby Bean writes that the Candice Bass-Robinson camp send out Iris who participates in Race 8.

The well-bred daughter of Gimmethegreenlight shed her maiden tag over this trip at Durbanville last time out.

She finished strongly despite not settling in the race and there looks to be plenty more to come from this individual.

It must be noted that the form of her maiden win has been franked. Anton Marcus takes the ride and if he can get her to switch off early in the race then she will be doing her best work at the business end of affairs.

The inside rail moved 3m from 800m to 400m, with a 3m spur at the 400m.

Anto Marcus is not riding today.

  • The Bipot starts in the first at 13h05
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the second at 13h40
  • The Pick 6 starts in the third at 14h15
  • Jackpot 1 starts in the fourth race at 14h50
  • Jackpot 2 starts in the fifth race at 15h25
