The National Horseracing Authority confirms that at an Inquiry held in Durban on 9 December 2015, Trainer G B Puller was charged with a contravention of Rule 73.2.7, in that he was the person responsible for the horse, SEEKING THE DREAM, when an “out of competition” blood sample taken from this horse at his Racing Stable at Summerveld on 27 August 2015, disclosed upon analysis the presence of Meloxicam.

Meloxicam is a prohibited substance in terms of the Rules of The National Horseracing Authority.

Trainer G B Puller pleaded guilty to the charge.  The Inquiry Board accepted his plea and found him guilty as charged.

After considering all the evidence, the Inquiry Board imposed a fine of R5 000.00
