Persistance Is Key Today At Durbanville

Jackpot 1 starts in the fourth race at 15h20

Eight races are scheduled for Durbanville this afternoon.

Richard Fourie has a full book of rides with a few decent chances of winning and he must be the jockey to follow.

The first race is due off at 13h30.

Jimmy The Rich writes that Double Superlative from the Justin Snaith stable takes his place in Race 4 and he is the possible Pick 6 banker.

He has produced two good efforts to date. He was bumped at the start last time, but the manner in which he ran on at the business end was eye-catching.

The son of Twice Over will love the extra furlong on offer and in this type of field, he should take a power of beating.

Mike Stewart saddles Persistance in Race 3. He finished 2.75 lengths behind Power Grid last time.

He is 3kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

He is likely to have his own way in front and may be hard to catch in the latter stages.

The false rail is set at 2.5m out on the back straight with a 3m spur at approximately the 550m mark.

  • The Bipot starts in the first at 13h30
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the second at 14h05
  • The Pick 6 starts in the third at 14h45
  • Jackpot 1 starts in the fourth race at 15h20
  • Jackpot 2 starts in the fifth race at 15h55
