Poltergeist On The Move Today

Jackpot 1 starts in the fourth race at 15h15

An eight-race programme is scheduled at Durbanville this afternoon.

The partnership of Justin Snaith and Richard Fourie team up in seven races, with some good chances of winning.

The first is due off at 13h30.

Jimmy The Rich writes that Poltergeist from the Snaith yard is the best bet on the card in Race 7.

He has produced two good efforts to date. The son of Silvano should have finished closer to the winner last time as he had to be switched at the 200m mark.

He is a progressive type and in this line-up, he should shed his maiden tag.

My Bestie from the Glen Kotzen stable takes his place in Race 2. His last four starts have been good.

He was slow into stride over 1400m last time, but ran on well to finish third behind a highly-rated sort. He finished 0.75 lengths behind Sachdev in his penultimate effort.

He is 3kgs better off at the weights this afternoon and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. If jumping on terms, he can return to winning ways.

The false rail is set at 3m out on the back straight with a 3m spur at approximately the 550m mark.

  • The Bipot starts in the first at 13h30
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the second at 14h05
  • The Pick 6 starts in the third at 14h40
  • Jackpot 1 starts in the fourth race at 15h15
  • Jackpot 2 starts in the fifth race at 15h50
