Looking For A Miracle

Jackpot 1 starts in the fifth at 15h25

An exciting nine-race programme is set for Kenilworth this afternoon.

There are four feature races on the day including the Gr1 WSB Cape Fillies Guineas, Gr2 WSB Live Casino Southern Cross Stakes, Gr 2 WSB Club Prive Green Point Stakes and the Gr3 Cape Summer Stayers Handicap.

The first is due off at 13h00.

Jimmy The Rich writes that Desert Miracle from the Mike de Kock stable takes her place in the Grade 1 WSB Cape Fillies Guineas.

She has been super-impressive in her last three victories under jockey Gavin Lerena. She took on the males in the Grade 3 Graham Beck Stakes last time and won with a ton in hand.

The daughter of Dynasty has a lot of class about her and it will take a very special horse to beat her.

She has her first run on this course and if suited to the left-hand turn, she should be too good for this field.

Justin Snaith saddles Bayberry in the Gr3 Cape Summer Stayers Handicap. He stayed on when finishing fourth in the Listed Algoa Cup last time.

His penultimate effort when finishing second in the Listed Settlers Trophy at Durbanville catches the eye.

His last victory came on this course and with Gavin Lerena in the saddle, he should notch up his third career victory.
