Secretariat Stakes Heads Turffontein Today

The Bipot starts in the second race at 12h20

Racing takes place at Turffontein this afternoon and nine races are carded.

The main event on the day is Race 7 which is the Listed Secretariat Stakes over 1400m.

It is an early start to racing with the first due off at 11h50.

Jimmy The Rich writes that trainer Mike de Kock saddles Bureau Des Legende in Race 7.

She was an impressive winner of her last start over 1600m on the Inside course.

She set the pace that day and found extra where it matters most to hold all challengers at bay.

She won her previous two races well under Muzi Yeni.

The daughter of Legislate should have no issues with the drop to 1400m and she can notch up her fourth career victory.

Into The Future from the Barend Botes and Yolandie Vosloo stable may be the one to close off the meeting.

His last start can be ignored as the jockey reported something to be amiss. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked.

His two previous outings were encouraging. The 5yo gelding takes a drop in class and if suited to the Turffontein Straight course, he should return to winning ways.

Raymond Danielson will not be riding today as he is medically indisposed.
