The programme is competitive and some close finishes can be expected. Don’t forget about the Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge and if you tip all nine winners on the card, you stand a chance to win R1 375 000.

The first race is due off at 12h25.

Jimmy The Rich writes Gareth van Zyl and Anton Marcus team up in the last race with She’s A Keeper. She followed up her debut win with a good third-place finish over 1200m.

She raced from just off the pace that day and stayed on well at the finish.

The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight will enjoy the extra furlong on offer and with a bit of luck from her wide draw, she should be the one to beat.

Mambo Symphony from the Garth Puller stable represents some decent each way value in Race 8.

He should have finished closer last time as he was bumped at the 200m mark. He finished 0.7 lengths behind Mighty Smart in that contest.

He is 1kg better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. With a bit of luck in running, he can get back to winning ways.

  • The Pick 6 starts in the fourth at 14h10
